When Paddy ‘Austin’ Pallin started this business in 1930, he didn’t have much – just a love of the outdoors and a thirst for his next great adventure. Over his long life he enjoyed hundreds of these journeys with his family and his colleagues, and today that 85+ year tradition of shared experience is still the heartbeat of our business. 

Paddy Pallin is a growing, dynamic and iconic Australian retailer. The name Paddy Pallin certainly means many things to many people. For some it brings to mind the genial personality of one of Australia's pioneer bushwalkers. Others will recognise the name from the label of an old sleeping bag or rucksack that has given a generation of faithful service in the outdoors. For most people however, the name is associated with a group of specialist retail stores catering for travellers and outdoor enthusiasts.

When job positions become available we will be recruiting customer centric team players who can demonstrate prior knowledge and passion in lightweight outdoor and travel activities and gear, and in assisting others to get the right gear and tips for their adventures.

Our Miranda store is looking for an enthusiastic Casual Sales Assistant with outdoor and travel experience.
